StoneSong, founded in 2002, is a welcoming valley nestled in the Allegany Mountains of Western Maryland where we are inspired to open and deepen our connection to Nature and each other through experiential activities, personal and community empowerment. It includes a beautiful farmhouse overlooking acres of luscious land, a renovated barn with a large meeting space, and a few other outbuildings. Nature has bestowed StoneSong with a pond, a small creek, trees, flowers, and abundant wildlife while a community of good friends has built a fire circle, a sweat lodge, nature trails, a biodynamic apiary, and an organic vegetable garden and orchard.

At StoneSong we offer indoor and outdoor spaces for a variety of group events such as church gatherings, family reunions, weddings, nature adventures, etc. We also welcome individuals and couples looking to restore and strengthen themselves in the embrace of a peaceful and enchanting mountain valley.

Highly experienced teachers, trainers, musicians, artists, and elders find at StoneSong the perfect container for sharing their different healing and wellness modalities and traditions: Yoga, Breathwork, Meditation, Forest Therapy, Functional Movement, Martial Arts, Stress Management, Nature Immersions, Storytelling, Fire Circles, etc.

We are committed to offering a safe refuge to native forest, watershed, and wildlife. We participate in a multi-year Forest Stewardship Plan with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. We've also partnered with the Forest Technology Program at Allegany College of Maryland to provide access to land where students can implement projects designed with specific enviromental and educational goals. These engagements help us manage our forest in an environmentally conscious manner and grow as stewards of the land.

Come and roam this land. Watch a shooting star. Listen to the wind.

Woodlands, meadows, streams and stones provide a unique setting to rest ourselves in a way that might open us to new ideas and growth. This land sings out a song of invitation to come together in contemplation, exploration, and awareness to express our best selves, to learn more from each other, to simply remember.
Green Ridge State Forest, the second largest of Maryland's state forests with 44,000 acres and Rocky Gap State Park are literally our next door neighbors. Several other state parks such as Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, New Germany and Savage River -just to name a few- are a short drive away.
